About Your Path / AI Studio

We make career discovery feel clear, friendly, and explainable.

Your Path / AI Studio is an FYP prototype built to help teenagers understand their Big Five personality profile and explore career directions with simple explanations.

What we do

Personality insights plus career evidence

We turn questionnaire answers into OCEAN scores, compare the profile with career patterns, and show why each recommendation appears using personality alignment and O*NET skills evidence.

01

Why we do it

Many students know a few popular careers but do not know how their personality, learning style, and support needs connect to career choices. We make that link easier to understand.

02

Who it helps

The prototype is designed for Malaysian teenagers aged 13-19 who want a first step toward career exploration before making bigger education or pathway decisions.

03

What we show

Users see compact OCEAN scores, supportive personality explanations, career matches, O*NET skills, study directions, and a clear reason for each recommendation.

How we analyse

From answers to explainable career matches

Each result follows a simple pipeline so users can understand what happened behind the recommendation.

Answer

Personality questions

The quiz collects Big Five responses while keeping trait labels hidden during answering.

Score

OCEAN profile

Reverse-scored items are handled, then scores are converted into Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.

Match

Career comparison

The backend compares the user profile with career personality profiles and calculates similarity.

Explain

O*NET evidence

The system adds O*NET skills, abilities, knowledge, and work-style evidence so results are easier to trust.

How we work

Friendly first, explainable always

Simple: results use short labels, clear scores, and plain language.

Supportive: personality traits are described as preferences and support needs, not as good or bad labels.

Transparent: career cards explain personality similarity and O*NET evidence instead of only showing a match percentage.
